P.J O’BRIEN MEMORIAL RACE DAY
SATURDAY 15TH JUNE, 2024

Racing since 1877, The annual Walgett Meet was first named The P.J.O'Brien Memorial Race Day in 2005 to honour the late Paddy O'Brien. Paddy's three sons, Michael, Dennis and Jim, thought it fitting to celebrate their father for his contribution toward the success of racing in Walgett.

Join us for the best day out west!

The day kicks off at 11 am for our ticketed Luncheon guests! Setting the vibe for the day with a fun-filled agenda including live entertainment, guest speakers, auctions and of course, fashions of the field presentations.

Guests will enjoy a fancy catered lunch whilst enjoying a glass or two as they settle in for some good old-fashioned banter.

Tickets include gate entry & membership to Walgett Jockey Club.

Party Marquees

Marquees include a delightful cheese box provided by our local Chef, Cindy Bird of Blend & Co, 10 seats, & a large table.

From the big kids to the little ones, we have something to keep you all entertained.

Jumping castles, food stalls, novelty races, live music and a bar. We we will keep the fun vibe buzzing through the day and into the night as we join you for a boogie on the dance floor under the Western stars!
